Join us for a day of Jazz @ Tingry

At 16h we will screen the Bertrand Tavernier classic film, Round Midnight, starring Dexter Gordon, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his work in this role. 

Followed at 18h15 by a snacks & apéro 

And a dialogue-discussion between Maxine Gordon, author and scholar of jazz, and Howard Fishman, culture writer and musician.

At 20h to top off the evening the jazz group Yes! Trio will perform.

Bound together by a twenty-five year friendship, three contemporary jazz masters, Ali Jackson (drums), Aaron Goldberg (piano) and Omer Avital (double bass), happily reactivate the tradition of the genre in a modern trio that magnifies the spirit of swing and says yes to pleasure. With the Yes! Trio, jazz is far from having said its last word.
