Claire Prentice

Claire Prentice is an award-winning journalist and the author of historical non-fiction books. She has made audio documentaries for the BBC, and has contributed to The Times and Sunday Times, NPR, ABC Australia, History magazine, Smithsonianmag.com, BBC Online and the Washington Post among others. She covered three US Presidential elections for the British media, and has received grants, awards, and fellowships from organisations in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US, including the Virginia Humanities, Kraków UNESCO City of Literature, Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation, the Rockefeller Archive Centre, Creative Scotland, Scottish Book Trust, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation x Women in Journalism, and a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship. She lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland.
