Hilda Palafox is a visual artist whose work explores and questions the human figure through painting, sculpture, and textiles. Her practice unfolds as an inquiry into subjectivity, the body, and women’s experiences, approaching identity from the tension between intimacy and monumentality: between the configuration of an inner world that privileges sensitivity and human connections, and the public projection of formal and symbolic grandeur. 
There is an internal order in her painting, grounded in the solidity of pictorial space, the curvilinear definition of her lines, and a wide palette of bright colors that create atmospheres often unsettling and mysterious, yet familiar. With touches of fantasy and spirituality, Hilda reimagines everyday scenes where analogies to inner life are woven, offering an intimate reading of emotions and the human psyche, always seeking a direct encounter with the viewer. 
A graduate of the School of Design at the National Institute of Fine Arts, she lives and works in Mexico City. Her work has been exhibited in Mexico, Japan, the United States, Spain, South Korea, and Australia, and her murals can be found in public spaces across Mexico, Brazil, United States, Canada, Japan, Belgium and Madrid.
