Karolina Ziebińska (born 1975), PhD, is a curator and art historian specialised in photography. Director of the Museum of Warsaw in 2021-2025, she was from 2014 to 2020 curator at the Photography Department of the Musée national d’art moderne Centre Pompidou in Paris. Before this, Ziebińska worked as curator at Zachęta – the National Gallery of Art, Warsaw – for ten years. In 2008, she co-founded in Warsaw the Archaeology of Photography Foundation an NGO initiated to protect and promote archives of influential Polish photographers. Ziebinska curated over fifty exhibitions and was the editor of the numerous books and catalogues, among them: Zofia Kulik, Rencontres d’Arles, Dora Maar, Centre Pompidou, David Goldblatt, Centre Pompidou, Photographisme – Klein, Ifert, Zamecznik, Centre Pompidou, Brassaï – Graffiti, Centre Pompidou, Zbigniew Dlubak – Body Structures, Foto Espana, She-Documentalists.
