Rozalie Hirs is a Dutch composer and poet whose music spans vocal, orchestral, and electronic. She often combines traditional instruments with electronic sounds. Her poetry includes printed collections and interactive digital poetry, created with visual artists and graphic designers. Performers of her music include Amsterdam Sinfonietta, ASKO | Schönberg ensemble, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Bozzini Quartet, Formalist Quartet, Klangforum Wien, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, and Slagwerk Den Haag. Hirs also performs her own compositions, mostly for international festivals.
