Sigrid Sandström is a Stockholm-based artist and professor of fine arts at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. She is a recipient of numerous grants and fellowships, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Joan Mitchell Foundation fellowship, as well as the Artadia Award. Selected one-person exhibitions include Inman Gallery in Houston; Edward Thorp Gallery in New York; Anat Ebgi in Los Angeles; and Galleri Gunnar Olsson and Cecilia Hillström Gallery in Stockholm. Sandström has participated in museum exhibitions nationally and internationally, including the Frye Art Museum in Seattle; the Contemporary Art Museum, Houston; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and Moderna Museet and Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
